As we move into spring, let's take a look at some of the art displays that track this seasonal change!

From penguins, snowmen and snowy scenes....

...to the gradual awakening of spring, with St Brigid's crosses, daffodils, colourful rainbows, and World Book Day!

By using just three ingredients, rolling the resulting dough, cutting some Christmas shapes, painting and decorating, the pupils made some ornaments to bring home.

The dough was made by combining cornflour and baking soda with water in a saucepan, and heating it gently until it made a paste.

Once it thickened and formed a soft dough, we took the mixture from the heat and being very careful, left it to cool down on a board.

As soon as the dough was sufficiently cool, the girls could roll it out, and shape it as they wished.

The shapes took a few days to fully air-dry in the classroom.

When they were set and ready, the girls decorated their shapes with glitter glue.

Once dry (again), the shapes were parcelled - up, ready to take home!

In Advent, we learned about how the wreath and the Jesse Tree help us to prepare for Christmas in a special way.

Our Christmas tree in the front hall is decorated beautifully each year.

We have a truly unique Crib here in school. The figurines were handmade by former principal Sr. Nuala and her friends some years ago.

It really was just like Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland in December!

Ms. Bryan's door was festive and frosty for Winter time!

It seems that one of Santa's elves got their hands (and much paper) on Ms. Tyrrell's door!

Junior Infants were getting set to watch the Late Late Toy Show! Which jumper would Ryan choose?

5th and 6th class took home some clay ornaments

3rd and 4th Class created such intricate patterns in their snowflakes, and carefully cut out their images for this outstanding winter silhouette!
