National Tree Week is the designated week for tree protection awareness in Ireland, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte.
Mrs Jacob registered our school for Tree Week and we were promptly issued with not one, not two, but FOUR new trees to plant!
These trees are: rowan, oak, scots pine and birch. They were planted by 2nd class, with Mrs Jacob.
Meanwhile, 3rd and 4th class planted herbs, and some wildflowers. We will keep everyone posted on our gardening efforts as the months progress!
