On Tuesday, 25th June, it was time to bid farewell to, and celebrate the 6th Class pupils. Parents, staff and other classes all gathered, along with Fr Scriven and special guest, Kilkenny Rose Lisa O'Rourke (a past pupil), to wish the 6th Class pupils well as they get ready to move to secondary school.
The pupils sang, shared their favorite memories, included meaningful symbols of their 8 years of primary school, read poems and displayed impressive artwork (linked to their chosen Disney theme).
Thanks to their teacher Ms Sharkey for preparing the ceremony, and for her work with the girls over the past few months. They are certainly ready for First Year, and have enjoyed visits to the Community School, and a special transition to secondary school programme.
Mrs Walshe also attended the ceremony, which was a bonus for the girls, as she had taught the girls in 5th Class as well as for the first term of 6th Class.
Congratulations to the pupils, and best wishes for the future!
