Looking Back at the Christmas Plays!

Just before the Christmas holidays arrived, we celebrated in school in lots of different ways. One special way of celebrating was to put on our Christmas shows - in which all pupils performed! It was fantastic to have our shows back on again, the first time since 2019.

Ms Maher's class delighted their audience with seasonal songs, dances and even some jokes!

Ms Tyrrell's class told the nativity story through the songs, dances and actions of The Bossy King!

Mrs Kenny's class brought a little sparkle with Lights, Camel, Action!

Mrs Walshe's class told the marvellous tale of the story behind the composition of Silent Night.

All classes had the opportunity to watch the dress rehearsals, before family members came to the gym for performances on Tuesday.

Pupils from 2nd - 6th class gave their audience an extra special Christmas treat, when Ms Clare Kilkenny - our Music Generation teacher - arrived, to lead them in their choral performances. Traditional songs mixed with pupils' own compositions, some instrumental work, part-singing and even solo singing, all added to the wonder of the occasion. There is no doubt that the talents of all classes were on display, on stage.

Well done to everyone!

Thank you to all parents for helping to source costumes and for attending the shows, and also to all who helped with the Christmas raffle this year.
