It was great to have 1st - 6th class pupils altogether in the gym on Friday 25th November for a prayer service and some surprises, to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation (Nov. 21st).

Below are some photos of the drama by 5th and 6th class, which was enjoyed by the audience so much (particularly by the specially invited guests), that it was performed twice!

All pupils joined in singing the Presentation anthem, One Step Beyond and How Lucky We Are.

Prayers were dedicated to all of our school community and beyond.

The pupils made lanterns, in honour of Nano Nagle (the Lady with the Lantern) which they would go on to use that evening at the Festival of Light in Castlecomer.

Just before the midterm break, each class took part in a drumming workshop. Eddie and Luke facilitated these high-energy workshops, using a great array of African drums, as well as some other percussion instruments from South America.

All pupils and teachers enjoyed the call - and - response drumming, the 'Drumming-by-Numbers,' songs and games.

See photos of pupils in their Halloween fancy -dress costumes, below.

Well done to all pupils, parents/ guardians for creating great characters and costumes!

After break, all classes had a mini 'ceolchoirm,' and sang some songs or recited poems as Gaeilge, which they have learned this year in class.
