Wonder Wander Walking Trail

On Wednesday 26th March, the Castlecomer Wonder Wander Walking Trail was launched in the library.

Kilkenny County Council, with the National Built Heritage Service, in partnership with local people, including our pupils, created this trail.

It was great to spot each location and feature, such as fan lights, windows, details on roofs etc, on the trail map, and then to learn more about place from our guide Francis.

Here are some photos from the trail. Places visited included the convent, the church of the Immaculate Conception, Florence Terrace, Sunlight Villas, the court house with weigh bridge (from the market days), Creamery House, and some locations around the Square and on Barrack Street.
