By using just three ingredients, rolling the resulting dough, cutting some Christmas shapes, painting and decorating, the pupils made some ornaments to bring home.
The dough was made by combining cornflour and baking soda with water in a saucepan, and heating it gently until it made a paste.
Once it thickened and formed a soft dough, we took the mixture from the heat and being very careful, left it to cool down on a board.
As soon as the dough was sufficiently cool, the girls could roll it out, and shape it as they wished.
The shapes took a few days to fully air-dry in the classroom.
When they were set and ready, the girls decorated their shapes with glitter glue.
Once dry (again), the shapes were parcelled - up, ready to take home!
